however, as a personsquo;s whole life is concerned, success becomes very

complicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i donsquo;t think so. i believe success is the realization of peoplesquo;

s hopes and ideals.nowadays, in the modern society there are many people

who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of

different people have different ideas about success; cause peoplesquo;s hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

what is success? everyone has his own interpretation as i do. but i am sure

every success leads to an ever-brighter future. so ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a

a black boy in wine factory guard oak his father. every morning, he wipes a clean bucket, then the rows of neatly placed. make him angry, often overnight, the wind took him neatly arranged barrel blown reel right and left.

the little boy was very sad and cried. the father touched the boy's head and said, "son, don't cry, we can find a way to conquer the wind"

the little boy sat on the edge of the barrel and wiped the tears to think, think for a long time has finally come up with a solution, he from the edge of the well choose a barrel and a barrel of water, then pour them into the empty barrel, and then he was very upset to go home to bed. for second days, just before dawn the little boy, hurriedly climb up, he ran to the place where the vats, the oak a are arranged neatly, no one was blown over by the wind, no one has been blown crooked. the little boy laughed, he said to his father: "to wooden barrels to be blown, will increase the weight of the bucket." the boy's father smiled approvingly.

yes, we can not change the wind, the world can not change a lot of things, but we can change ourselves, to increase their own, so that we can adapt to change, not to be defeated!

westminster abbey in the basement, the tomb of an anglican bishop wrote such a sentence: when i was young and free and my imagination had no limits, i dreamed of changing the world. as i grew older and wiser, i discovered the world would not be changed, so i will focus on the so some, it only changed my country! but my country seems i cannot change. when i arrived in twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, i decided to change only my family, those closest to me, but alas! they don't accept change. now i on his deathbed, i suddenly realize: if i had only changed myself first, then by example i would have changed my family. then, in their inspiration and encouragement, i may change my country. and then, who knows, maybe i can change the whole world.

"no one need be afraid" -- the north carolina ratification convention -- "no one need be afraid that officers who commit oppression will pass with immunity." "prosecutions of impeachments will seldom fail to agitate the passions of the whole community," said hamilton in the federalist papers, number 65. "we divide into parties more or less friendly or inimical to the accused."³ i do not mean political parties in that sense.

the drawing of political lines goes to the motivation behind impeachment; but impeachment must proceed within the confines of the constitutional term "high crime[s] and misdemeanors." of the impeachment process, it was woodrow wilson who said that "nothing short of the grossest offenses against the plain law of the land will suffice to give them speed and effectiveness. indignation so great as to overgrow party interest may secure a conviction; but nothing else can."

common sense would be revolted if we engaged upon this process for petty reasons. congress has a lot to do: appropriations, tax reform, health insurance, campaign finance reform, housing, environmental protection, energy sufficiency, mass transportation. pettiness cannot be allowed to stand in the face of such overwhelming problems. so today we are not being petty. we are trying to be big, because the task we have before us is a big one.

this morning, in a discussion of the evidence, we were told that the evidence which purports to support the allegations of misuse of the cia by the president is thin. we're told that that evidence is insufficient. what that recital of the evidence this morning did not include is what the president did know on june the 23rd, 1972.

the president did know that it was republican money, that it was money from the committee for the re-election of the president, which was found in the possession of one of the burglars arrested on june the 17th. what the president did know on the 23rd of june was the prior activities of e. howard hunt, which included his participation in the break-in of daniel ellsberg's psychiatrist, which included howard hunt's participation in the dita beard itt affair, which included howard hunt's fabrication of cables designed to discredit the kennedy administration.

my name is ilana wexler. i'm 12 years old, and i am the founder of kids for kerry.

kids for kerry is a grassroots organization of kids that support john kerry, want to help their futures, and get active in politics.

when my parents went to see teresa heinz kerry speak, they told me that she was amazing! -- and that they thought john kerry would make a great president. i decided to find out more about john kerry. i talk about what i learned by using my abcs.

a is america. john kerry is a hero to america, and he will help our futures. he is a great and positive role model.

b is better education. john kerry wants to make class sizes smaller, so that children get the best part out of learning. he wants to help teachers because being a teacher is educating children, and letting them out into the world to do good things.

c is compassion towards children. john kerry wants to make sure that health care is not a privilege, but it is something that we can all afford.

this summer, i was supposed to go to my favorite camp. but instead, i decided to go to the john kerry office every day. kids can really help!

on , we have an interactive presidential quiz. there are 270 questions for the electoral votes john kerry will win. plus, 25 questions to make up for florida from the last election.

our next goal is to have a petition for national no name-calling day, a day that the candidates don't say anything negative about one another. when our vice president had a disagreement with a democratic senator, he used a really bad word.

the last time i saw john kerry, he grabbed my arm and said, see you at the convention. and here i am!

what will be even more amazing will be the inauguration in january, when we have a new president, knowing that kids have made a difference in this election.

kids need-kids need positive-kids need positive role models in politics. and our vice president deserves a long time-out.

kids-kids, this is about our futures. make sure all adults you know get out and vote.

on my birthday two years ago, many special things happened on me. and i would

that morning, i rode my bike to school happily as usual. on my way to the

classroom, i saw some of my classmates. but when they saw me, they rushed away. that made me confused. because they would talk to me or play jokes on me before. but it was strange today.

when i came into the classroom, i found the atmosphere was quite strange.

everybody looked at me and laughed loudly. suddenly they all said in good order, happy birthday to you! then they began to sing happy birthday to you~~~~~~ that made me moved. i never told anyone about my birthday, how did they know? i believed they must have done a lot of things. at that moment, i found nothing to say but thanks instead!

after school, a thing coming as a surprise happened on me on my way back home. when i was riding suddenly a crowed of people rushed out to stopped my bike.i recogized them at once. they were my senior classmates. they all comlained to me,why don't you tell us about your birthday? don't you fear that we will let you stand treat? this time you owe us. then each of them gave a gift and a card with best wishes to me. i was deeply moved again. i suggested having a dinner together. but they all refused because of the time. then they left me saying we would ask you to pay us another day!

when i got back home, i thought of everything happened today. suddenly i felt so happy because i had such great friends around me. i thanked them from the bottom of my heart. i would value the precious friendship forever!

i have so many feelings through that special day. the only rose without thorns in the world is friendship. a true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart. truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. one friend in a lifetime is much, two are many, three are hardly possible. stick to make friends, forlife without friends is like life on a desert island. to find one real friend in a lifetime is good fortune, to keep him is a blessing.
